Home Health Aides (HHA) support elderly people with cognitive and physical disabilities or illnesses from the comfort of their own home. Home Health Aides are allowed to be involved in many intimate aspects of patient care, under the supervision of a nurse, such as administering medication and checking vital signs.
HHAs may also educate families on how to best take care of certain aspects of the patient’s wellness.
The job outlook for HHAs is expected to raise in the next decade. As people continue to age the demand for attentive and caring HHAs will increase.
